Liberty Science Center
A serious interactive science museum inside Liberty State Park, with an IMAX dome, permanent exhibitions on health, environment, and invention, and touring shows that draw families from across the region. The adults-only evening events are genuinely good for date nights. One of the strongest science museums in the metro area.
White Eagle Hall
An 850-capacity mid-size concert venue in a beautifully restored 1908 building near the Heights border, focused on independent and touring music across all genres. It's consistently ranked as the best live music room in Jersey City — the renovation preserved the original architectural character while achieving genuinely good acoustics.

Liberty State Park
A 1,212-acre park on Upper New York Bay that frames the most iconic view of the Manhattan skyline from anywhere in New Jersey, with direct ferry access to the Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island. The Liberty Walkway follows the waterfront for miles, the nature preserve in the south section is one of the best urban birding spots in the region, and the whole thing is free.
Ellis Island National Museum of Immigration
The most emotionally resonant museum experience in the New York metro area, housed in the restored 1892 immigration station through which 12 million people entered the US. The permanent exhibition is exceptionally well-curated, and the ferry from Liberty State Park is less crowded than the Manhattan departure. Nearly every American family has a connection to this place.
