These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the CohostAI platform operated by CohostAI ("we," "us," or "our") at cohostai.app. By accessing or using our service, you agree to be bound by these Terms.
1. Acceptance of Terms
By creating an account, submitting information, or otherwise using the CohostAI platform, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, you may not use our service.
2. Service Description
CohostAI provides an AI cohost service for vacation rental hosts. Our platform creates personalized local recommendation guides using property location data, third-party place information, and AI-generated content, and can answer guest questions in real time — including, where you connect a supported booking-channel account, sending answers directly into that guest's Airbnb, Vrbo, or Booking.com message thread. Section 8 ("AI Cohost Messaging & Connected Booking Accounts") describes how that works and what it requires of you.
3. Account Terms
- You must provide a valid email address to create an account.
- You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account. We use magic link authentication—do not share your login links with others.
- You must be at least 18 years old to use our service.
- You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.
- One person or entity may not maintain more than one free account.
4. Subscriptions & Billing
CohostAI offers free and paid subscription plans:
- Billing — Paid subscriptions are charged at the start of each billing period (monthly or annual, depending on your selection). All payments are processed securely through Stripe.
- Cancellation — You may cancel your subscription at any time from your host dashboard. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period.
- Refunds — If you cancel your subscription, we do not provide refunds for partial billing periods; you will retain access until the end of your current paid period. If we discontinue the service, see Section 10 for our refund policy.
- Promotional & Lifetime Pricing — Promotional rates, including any pricing described as "lifetime," "for life," or similar, apply only for as long as CohostAI continues to offer the service and the applicable subscription plan. We may retire individual subscription plans with 30 days' notice; affected subscribers will be offered a comparable plan or a pro-rata refund.
- Price Changes — We may change subscription pricing with 30 days' notice. Continued use after the price change constitutes acceptance.
5. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Use the service for any unlawful purpose or to violate any laws.
- Submit false, misleading, or fraudulent information including fake property addresses.
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to other accounts or our systems.
- Use automated tools to scrape, crawl, or extract data from our platform without permission.
- Use the service in a way that violates Airbnb's, Vrbo's, Booking.com's, or any other connected platform's terms of service or messaging policies.
- Resell or redistribute our service without written consent.
- Interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the service.
6. Intellectual Property
The CohostAI platform, including its design, features, and branding, is owned by CohostAI and protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You retain ownership of any content you provide (property details, custom descriptions). By using our service, you grant us a license to use your content solely for the purpose of providing the service.
7. AI-Generated Content
This section covers AI-generated guide content — descriptions, blurbs, and tips generated from location data from third-party sources (Google Maps/Places). If you enable the AI cohost to answer or message guests directly, Section 8 also applies. Please note:
- AI-generated content is provided for informational purposes and may not always be fully accurate or up to date.
- We do not guarantee the accuracy of business hours, pricing, availability, or other details in AI-generated descriptions.
- Hosts are encouraged to review and customize AI-generated content before sharing guides with guests.
- We are not responsible for decisions made based on AI-generated recommendations.
8. AI Cohost Messaging & Connected Booking Accounts
The AI cohost can answer guest questions in real time, grounded in the property information you provide. Depending on the reply mode you choose for each property, its answers may be sent to a guest automatically, without your review, or held for your approval first:
- Draft-and-approve mode holds every answer for you to approve, edit, or dismiss before it reaches a guest.
- Auto-send mode sends grounded, non-sensitive answers to guests without your review. Questions the cohost cannot ground in your saved property information, and questions involving money, safety, legal matters, or complaints, are never auto-sent in any mode — they are always held for your review.
Connected booking accounts. If you connect a booking-channel account (currently via Hospitable, covering Airbnb, Vrbo, and Booking.com), you authorize CohostAI to read guest messages and reservation details from that account and to send the cohost's answers back into the guest's thread on your behalf, using the reply mode you selected. On these connected-account channels, a cohost message reaches the guest under your own host identity, the same as any other message you send through that platform — it is not separately labeled as AI-generated inside that platform's own inbox.
Your responsibilities. By connecting a booking-channel account or enabling AI-generated replies, you represent that you have the right to grant CohostAI this access, and you are responsible for: (a) complying with the connected platform's terms of service and messaging policies; (b) any disclosure to guests that applicable law requires for automated or AI-assisted communications; and (c) choosing a reply mode appropriate to your property and your legal obligations. We are not responsible for a host's failure to meet these responsibilities.
No guarantee of outcome. As with all AI-generated content (Section 7), cohost answers may be incomplete or inaccurate despite the grounding safeguards described above. To the maximum extent permitted by law, CohostAI is not liable for the content of any cohost message, whether sent automatically under a reply mode you selected or approved by you before sending.
9. Privacy
Your use of the service is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which describes how we collect, use, and protect your information. By using our service, you consent to the data practices described in the Privacy Policy.
10. Disclaimers & Limitation of Liability
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, COHOSTAI SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS OR REVENUES, WHETHER INCURRED DIRECTLY OR INDIRECTLY, OR ANY LOSS OF DATA, USE, GOODWILL, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES RESULTING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE. THIS INCLUDES DAMAGES ARISING FROM ANY MESSAGE THE AI COHOST SENDS TO A GUEST, WHETHER SENT AUTOMATICALLY UNDER A REPLY MODE YOU SELECTED OR APPROVED BY YOU BEFORE SENDING (SEE SECTION 8).
We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation of the service. Third-party data (Google Places, OpenAI) may be subject to their own limitations and terms.
11. Termination & Service Discontinuation
We may suspend or terminate your access to the service at any time, with or without cause, and with or without notice. Upon termination, your right to use the service ceases immediately. You may terminate your account at any time by contacting us. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination (including disclaimers, limitations of liability, and intellectual property) will survive.
If we discontinue the service entirely, we will provide at least 30 days' notice to your registered email address and refund any prepaid subscription fees on a pro-rata basis for the unused portion of your then-current billing period. Any references in our marketing or promotional materials to "lifetime," "for life," or similar pricing terms apply only for as long as CohostAI continues to offer the service.
12. Governing Law & Dispute Resolution
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Arizona, USA, without regard to its conflict-of-laws principles. Any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service will be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Arizona, and you consent to personal jurisdiction and venue there.
13. Changes to Terms
We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will provide notice of significant changes by posting on our website or sending an email to your registered address. Your continued use of the service after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
