Amelia Earhart Hangar Museum
An aviation museum built around the last surviving Lockheed Electra of Earhart's model, with more than a dozen interactive history and STEM exhibits including a flight-simulation experience. It is out at the airport, a few minutes from downtown, and rewards a real visit.
Atchison County Historical Society Museum (Atchison Rail Museum)
A museum in an old Santa Fe freight depot, with Native American artifacts, railroad and Civil War history, and Earhart memorabilia, plus an outdoor locomotive and caboose to climb. People plan a quick stop and stay for hours.

Amelia Earhart Birthplace Museum
The Gothic house on the Missouri River bluff where Amelia Earhart was born, restored to its turn-of-the-century look with original family furniture and photographs and run by the women pilots of the Ninety-Nines. It is a small, self-paced tour with knowledgeable docents and a real sense of where she came from.
International Forest of Friendship
A living aviation and space memorial near Warnock Lake, planted with trees from every state and dozens of countries and lined with granite plaques honoring more than a thousand fliers and astronauts. Memory Lane, the flat paved walk through it, ends at a life-size bronze of Earhart.
