Yuma Territorial Prison State Historic Park
The 1876 territorial prison on a bluff over the Colorado, where you walk through the original cell blocks, the dark 'Snake Den' solitary cell, and a museum of the 3,000-plus convicts who served time before Arizona was a state. Yuma's signature site and far grimmer and more vivid than the Old West clichés suggest.
Colorado River State Historic Park
