Pumpkinvine Nature Trail
A 17-mile converted rail corridor connecting Shipshewana to Middlebury and Goshen on a combination of asphalt and packed limestone surfaces suitable for bikes, runners, and walkers. The route passes Amish farms, woodlots, and small-town storefronts, with several ice cream and lunch stops accessible directly from the trail. Four connected public parks along the route provide restrooms and parking.
Pigeon River Fish & Wildlife Area — River Paddling Routes
A 11,794-acre state wildlife area near Mongo with 17 miles of free-flowing Pigeon River and six paddling routes ranging from four to sixteen miles through undeveloped wetlands and timber. Trading Post Outfitters in Mongo operates shuttles and rentals, making it possible to paddle one-way without a car shuttle. The area holds significant populations of smallmouth bass and northern pike.

Blue Gate Performing Arts Center
A 1,500-seat concert venue attached to the Blue Gate complex that hosts nationally touring country, gospel, and variety acts across more than 70 headlining shows per year. The room is purpose-built for live music with strong sightlines from every seat and relatively short distances from stage. Programming skews toward country, Southern gospel, and seasonal theatrical productions.
Blue Gate Theatre
A 325-seat intimate theater attached to the Blue Gate Restaurant presenting original Amish-country musicals and rotating variety shows throughout the year. Menno-Hof Mennonite-Amish Visitor Center

Shipshewana Trading Place Flea Market & Auction
The Midwest's largest outdoor flea market with more than 700 booths, open Tuesdays and Wednesdays from May through September. A separate livestock auction runs simultaneously on Wednesdays and is free to watch, with multiple auctioneers calling bids at the same time across different rings.
