Chattahoochee Bend State Park
One of Georgia's largest state parks at 2,910 acres, protecting five miles of Chattahoochee River frontage about 20 miles west of Senoia near Newnan. Nearly 15 miles of hiking trails include the signature Riverside-Bend Trail — a 10-mile river loop that climbs two boulder-strewn ridges, passes a wooden observation tower with wide river views, and reaches platform campsites accessible only by foot or paddle. Wildlife spotting is excellent: beavers, river otters, and great blue herons are all regulars.
Line Creek Nature Area
A 70-acre public preserve along Line Creek off Highway 54, about 10 miles north of Senoia on the Fayette/Coweta County line. The trail network covers nearly three miles through upland hardwood forest, granite outcroppings along the creek, and a native azalea corridor that's spectacular in spring. A fishing dock on a small pond and a rock amphitheater make it a genuine local sanctuary rather than just a trail.

A wildly popular two-hour walking tour led by a dead-ringer Rick Grimes lookalike who has collected an extraordinary depth of behind-the-scenes Walking Dead knowledge. The tour visits Woodbury, Alexandria, and Carl's pudding house among others, and the guide carries photo books showing filming details at each location. Senoia Area Historical Society
Housed inside the 1895 Carmichael Home on Couch Street, this five-room museum tells Senoia's story through original land lottery deeds, early Coca-Cola bottling artifacts, and Civil War-era materials — including a newspaper account of Margaret Mitchell interviewing veterans while researching Gone With The Wind. The Walking Dead and Fried Green Tomatoes each get their own acknowledgment in the film and TV display room. Free admission, operated entirely by volunteers.
The Veranda Historic Inn
A National Register-listed 1906 Greek Revival mansion that was originally the Hollberg Hotel, one block from Main Street and the best-preserved historic structure in Senoia. The exterior alone — wide wraparound veranda, original heart pine floors visible through the front windows, eleven working fireplaces — is worth the walk. It operates as a bed and breakfast, but the architecture reads as a genuine local landmark regardless of whether you're staying.
