Playland's Castaway Cove
The island's main amusement park sprawling along the mid-boardwalk with 30-plus rides spanning toddler-friendly carousels to the Gale Force, a 125-foot coaster with a 90-degree drop. The operation is cleaner and better organized than the typical seasonal amusement park, and the mix of indoor and outdoor rides handles both heat and rain.
JiLLy's Arcade
A two-level, 100-plus-game arcade on the boardwalk at 11th Street with an unusually well-maintained mix of classic and modern machines — pinball, skee-ball, air hockey, driving simulators, and crane games. Adults rediscover games they have not thought about in years; kids stay until physically removed.

Ocean City Boardwalk
The 2.5-mile wooden promenade is the spine of the island — every shop, custard stand, and amusement ride has its own block, and the whole thing is bike-able from 5am to noon before the crowds arrive. The view from the 9th Street stretch on a clear morning, looking south toward the Music Pier with no one around, is genuinely worth waking up for.
Ocean City Beach
Eight miles of wide, clean Atlantic beach with lifeguard coverage from late June through Labor Day. The blocks between 6th and 14th Street have the densest amenities and stay busy all day long; the northern end above 34th Street draws a quieter crowd and the beach itself widens noticeably.
