Le Bistro

Tahoe East Shore Trail
A paved 5.2-mile out-and-back path following the east shore from Incline Village to Sand Harbor, officially called America's Most Beautiful Bikeway for reasons that are immediately obvious. The trail rolls past lakefront boulder fields, forest overlooks, and direct views of the north shore at water level. Walkable, bikeable, and appropriate for all fitness levels.
Monkey Rock Trail
A 2.6-mile out-and-back moderate hike from the Tunnel Creek Road trailhead to a distinctive monkey-shaped granite formation with broad views of north Lake Tahoe. The terrain transitions from flat forested trail to sandy slope before the final rocky approach, making it more interesting than the distance suggests.

Diamond Peak Ski Resort
The community-owned ski area directly above Incline Village, with 655 acres of terrain, some of the most unobstructed lake views from any Tahoe lift, and a culture that has consistently resisted the big-resort pricing model. Kids under 6 ski free, lift lines are minimal even on holiday weekends, and the shuttle from town runs every few minutes.
Crystal Bay Club Casino
The north shore's most credible live music venue in a 1937 casino building on the California-Nevada line. The Crown Room, built inside a converted bowling alley, has a hardwood dance floor, capacity for 750, and a booking history that includes nationally touring acts alongside local DJs. The Crown Room and Red Room host live music nearly every night.
Landmarks & sights
Sand Harbor
The showpiece beach on the Nevada side of the lake, with enormous granite boulders tumbling into aquamarine water you can see through to the bottom. Families wade in the shallows, kayakers launch from the launch ramp, and the Shakespeare Festival sets up an outdoor stage here every summer. It earns the crowds.
Thunderbird Lodge
Eccentric 1930s stone mansion built by millionaire recluse George Whittell Jr., accessible only by boat tour or guided land tour. The underground tunnel connecting the boathouse to the main house, the card house, and the elephant barn built for Whittell's pet Sumatran elephant make this one of the more genuinely strange historic sites in the West.
