Idaho Falls Greenbelt Loop
The flagship riverside path, a flat paved loop tracing both banks of the Snake River past the falls, gardens, and downtown. The full circuit runs long but you can walk any segment and turn back over a footbridge. It is the easiest, most scenic walk in the city and doubles as the local running route.
Cress Creek Nature Trail
A short interpretive loop above the South Fork of the Snake River about twenty minutes east, climbing through sagebrush to an overlook of the basalt canyon and river bottoms. The lower part is paved and easy; the upper loop is a little rockier. A quick nature fix close to town.

Idaho Falls Japanese Friendship Garden
A small traditional garden on a rocky island in the Snake River, built to mark Idaho Falls' sister-city tie with Tokai-Mura, Japan. Stone lanterns, a koi pond crossed by a stepping-stone Dragon's Path, and a pavilion sit right beside the man-made waterfall the city is named for. It is free and takes about twenty minutes to wander.
Idaho Falls Temple
The pure-white 1945 LDS temple set on landscaped grounds along the Snake River, one of the most photographed buildings in eastern Idaho. The temple interior is closed to the public, but the gardens, fountains, and waterfall-side paths are open to anyone and frame the river and downtown skyline.
