Museum of Northern Arizona
A regional museum founded in 1928, covering the Colorado Plateau's geology and dinosaurs alongside deep collections of Hopi, Navajo and Zuni art and culture. It sits in a Craftsman stone-and-timber building in a pine canyon along Fort Valley Road, with a short outdoor nature trail.
The Orpheum Theater

Lowell Observatory
The 1894 hilltop observatory where Pluto was spotted in 1930, sitting on Mars Hill just above downtown. Daytime tours cover the historic telescopes and a new astronomy center, but the reason to come is the evening program, when staff aim the scopes at whatever the dark sky is showing that night.
Riordan Mansion State Historic Park
A sprawling 1904 log-and-stone home built for two brothers of the Riordan lumber family, joined into a single duplex by a shared central room. It's preserved with the original Arts-and-Crafts Stickley furniture still in place, so a tour feels less like a museum than walking into a frozen household.
