South Lakes Park Trail

Dan's Silverleaf

Denton County Courthouse-on-the-Square
The 1896 Romanesque courthouse of pink granite and limestone that anchors the downtown Square, restored from the original architect's blueprints. Its clock tower is the visual center of Denton and the Square radiating out from it is the heart of the city's bar, music and shopping life. Circle it on foot to get your bearings on day one.
Bayless-Selby House Museum
A restored Victorian house in the Denton County Historical Park, furnished room by room to show turn-of-the-century North Texas life, down to an old-fashioned doctor's office and a parlor grand piano. The period garden out front is tended by local master gardeners. A free, low-key history stop a short walk from the Square.
