Lake Daylesford Peace Mile Circuit
A 2.8-kilometre flat circuit around Lake Daylesford - the town's standard morning walk and the easiest introduction to the area's natural setting. The path follows the foreshore through native bushland and manicured parkland, with bird activity reliable at the water's edge and the Boathouse restaurant as a natural halfway point. Suitable for all fitness levels including prams and wheelchairs.
Wombat Hill Botanical Walk
A short walking circuit through the heritage botanical garden on top of Wombat Hill - an extinct volcano with shaded elm and oak canopy, a heritage lookout tower, seasonal gardens and views across the Daylesford basin. Under 2 kilometres but the lookout tower adds meaningful elevation for the vista. Open dawn to dusk, always free.

Hepburn Bathhouse and Spa
The 130-year-old bathhouse at the centre of Hepburn Springs - communal mineral pools and private bathing rooms using natural mineral spring water from the adjacent reserve. The core experience is floating in warm mineral water while looking at eucalyptus trees, which is genuinely unlike any other spa in Australia. Recently renovated with new apothecary treatments and a refreshed private room program.
Daylesford Sunday Market
A 130-stall market at the Daylesford railway station running every Sunday - fresh local produce, handmade crafts, antiques, ceramics, plants and the inevitable excellent coffee van. It is the town's weekly social event and the best introduction to the local food producer network. The railway station setting adds heritage atmosphere without any of the staged nostalgia of purpose-built market spaces.

Convent Gallery
A beautifully restored 19th-century Sacred Heart convent perched above Daylesford with seven gallery spaces, two museums, a chapel and a gift shop spread across a building that rewards wandering without a map. The panoramic views over the town from the upper terrace are the best in the region, and the Bad Habits Cafe inside is a legitimate lunch destination in its own right. Open Thursday to Monday.
Wombat Hill Botanic Gardens
A Victorian botanic garden set atop an extinct volcano with shaded walking paths, a heritage lookout tower with 360-degree views, and a Begonia House that peaks in March. The garden's canopy of mature elms, oaks and Trust-listed trees is one of the best reasons to visit Daylesford outside of the restaurant and spa circuit. The Wombat Hill House cafe at the entrance serves excellent lunches.
