Hangar 9
The Strip's anchor live music venue since 1978 — a two-level bar with a proper stage and 500-person capacity that has brought regional and national touring acts to southern Illinois across more genres than any other room in the city. The Varsity Center for the Arts
A 1940 Art Moderne movie house restored into three distinct performance spaces — the intimate 137-seat Balcony Stage, the 150-seat East Theater, and the 475-capacity Big Room — that now hosts live music, theater by the Jackson County Stage Company, indie film screenings, and community events.
