Edwin B. Forsythe Wildlife Drive
An 8-mile self-guided loop through Forsythe NWR's saltwater marsh, freshwater impoundments, and upland forest — driveable or bikeable, with observation towers, boardwalk viewing areas, and wildlife the entire route. One of the few places in New Jersey where you can see American bittern, glossy ibis, snow geese, and migrating shorebirds without specialist effort.
Forsythe Refuge - Bristow Trail
A 2.7-mile trail through upland habitat at Edwin B. Forsythe NWR with the best songbird migration viewing in the refuge. The forested sections concentrate migrating warblers, thrushes, and vireos in spring and fall in numbers that make it one of the better walking birding experiences in South Jersey.

The 1929 Art Deco National Historic Landmark arena on the Boardwalk hosts major concerts, boxing events, and performances in a room that has been drawing audiences since before most casinos existed. The Boardwalk
The world's first boardwalk, built in 1870, stretching 4 miles along the Atlantic coast. At dawn before the casino crowds arrive, the Boardwalk reveals what Atlantic City actually is — an aged American resort with genuine architectural history and an ocean that doesn't care about the gambling industry. Walking it at 6am is a different experience from the casino advertisement that runs all day.
Absecon Lighthouse
The third-tallest masonry lighthouse in the United States at 171 feet, built in 1856 and decommissioned in 1933. The 228-step climb to the lantern room delivers a panoramic view of the city, the ocean, and the barrier island geography that gives Atlantic City its context.
